| Writing Guidelines for Contents of the Weaker Vessel Articles must fall within the guidelines of our goals. Since this website is for women, it is not our aim to correct, rebuke, or teach men. Since our publication is directed to women, we avoid the use of male nouns and pronouns referring to people in general, preferring gender inclusive words. With the exception of young girls who have not reached the age of accountability, writers of this publication are women baptized for the remission of sins and worshipping with churches of Christ. There is no money available to reimburse writers for their literary contributions. Writers volunteer to serve the Lord in this way and to help women grow in Christ as stated in our goals. The articles published have their basis in scripture. We encourage the use of scripture references in articles. Please let us know what version of the Bible you are using in your article. The articles the editors choose to publish are clear, inoffensive, and beneficial to a wide variety of readers. While we all draw on personal experiences to teach, personal examples should be used to make broader spiritual applications clear. Authors' names and home state or country are included at the bottom of each article. Editors reserve the right to make minor changes, including editing to (1) meet format restrictions, (2) correct spelling, grammar, and language usage, (3) enhance or economize wording, and (4) meet these guidelines. We will not intentionally change a writer's meaning. If a major change is needed, editors will seek permission from the writer. Contents of the Weaker Vessel does not regularly publish reprints. We prefer original material. By original we mean any article, poem, or book review which has not yet appeared in any other publication. We prefer that the written material be submitted by the woman who wrote it. If a person submits someone else's written material for consideration, it must be accompanied by permission from the author. Writers must be careful to follow all copyright laws when quoting material from other sources. It is the writer's responsibility to seek written permission from the copyright owner. (This includes the use of lyrics from hymns.) It should be noted that quoting brief segments of a book for a book review does not require permission. We request that authors delay six months before submitting an article we have published to another publication (including internet publications). Reprints should appear with the following notation: "This article was previously published in Contents of the Weaker Vessel an online publication of www.vesselpublishing.com." Regular pages are as follows:
